Living in an RV has it's pros and cons for sure but the most important thing to figure out is whats right for you and your family! What's right for one might not be right for the next... With that being said here is our advice!
Pros:
*Less things to deal with, really makes you realize what your necessities are. This helps more then just ‘not having things’. This can help in relationships, and keeping your mind clear of whats important. So cool. Also helps you buy less, cuz… you have no room! *When the weather is nice you can have dinner and campfires outside whenever you want. If your like us, we love to be outside every chance we get. So this is a huge benefit for us! *Being able to get up and go whenever you want! Don’t like your neighbors or view or anything really? Move! *Cool community: we stayed in a RV park for a long time with awesome people that became our best friends. It was a really nice one with laundry/workout/pool and everything so it was like we were on vacation everyday!
Cons (or maybe just things to think through):
*Food. While you can cook almost anything you want it is very hard to save by stocking up. You just have to meal plan if you want to stay on budget is all
*Laundry… there are a few nice RV’s that have a small laundry washer and or dryer but we didn’t get one with one it in it. So it’s always a ordeal to find where to wash your clothes
A lot of campgrounds have a laundry area so just have to budget for it.
*Four season kit is really like a three season kit. A lot of RV’s will say they are 3 or 4 season. This is really important because living in MI or anywhere that gets pretty cold, it doesn’t keep up to well with heat. Just something to look into while shopping around!
*Sex (this should be in the pros section too) : Everyones wondering but no one is saying it.. Yes, having that personal time with your spouse is a bit harder when you have kids in a 32 ft (or smaller) area. Honestly, it's just like if you were anywhere else. You will have plenty of alone time with your kids in their own beds or out of the living space. You'll just have to find the time and make it happen, just as if you were in a large house. If you want it, you'll get it :)
I think that about wraps it up!
