General Sherman Trail

This paved 1.1 mile hike is probably one of the most visited trails in all of the park because you guessed it, General Sherman is here! This is the largest Sequoia Tree. We suggest taking your time and hiking this trail as there are so many towering trees to take in! *(You can start from another are in the park and make it a longer hike. Also, the second-largest tree is Called General Grant and on General Grant Loop. and this is considered Kings Caynon NP actually but we highly suggest this beautiful hike!) Tokopah Falls and Trail Discover this 4.0-mile out-and-back trail. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 1 h 47 min to complete. Very beautiful the entire route! Big Tree 1.3-mile beautiful trail! This is near Stony Creek Village, California. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 31 min to complete. This is a very popular area for birding, hiking, and walking, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The best times to visit this trail are May through November. Big Baldy Trail

Camping:

Awesome lodge and camping here ​(Closed for 2022)

Horse Creek Campground (outside of the park a bit, hook ups and open year around)

We stayed in the National Forest part of the park for free. Make sure you are on the park of the road that is National Forest and pull over for the evening! We were close to "Grizzly Falls" waterfall. Clearly no hookups but there was an outhouse close to the waterfall.
