Chicago Favorite Spots!

in ILLINOIIS

Each year we explore a weekend in Chicago and thought we'd share our favorite spots!

Car, Bus or Train in:

If you are coming from Michigan area check out your amtrak train ride options here! May be a fun way to travel in. We took our car and found cheap parking then ubered the rest of the weekend. This is the way to go if you are trying to save money!

Stays:

We were spoiled and used our hotwire knowledge to book a beautiful room at the Hyatt Place downtown!

Favorite food spots:

Cupitol Coffee & Eatery

This isn't your average coffee shop. When you walk in it's upscale style is beautiful. But that's not it, their burgers are one of a kind. Yes, I said HAMBURGERS! So delicious. Stop for lunch and stay for a latte!

Chicago Q- We haven't personally had a chance to try this place it's on our restaurant bucket list! So quaint and the food is rated top of the line :)

Let's Adventure Chicago!

Navy Pier: This area is full with things for the whole family. A park with rides, shopping and more! Be sure to check out what adventure you want to have here.

Starbucks Reserve Roastery:

You've made it to the LARGEST Starbucks in the world! With it's four stories of coffee bars, everyone is bound to find something they love!

Millennium Park - Ice skating (winter only):

If you go in the winter this is the most fun area to go ice skating in! At Christmas it's decked out with lights and you are sure to get in the Christmas Spirit!

Millennium Park - The Bean:

This is now a Chicago classic! While it's swarming with people there is always still a place to get a shot of yourself in the bean :) Check out more info on it here.

Chicago Theater:

This amazing old theater is one of a kind. We have had the opportunity to go to three concerts here and everytime is just so fun while visiting this iconic theater! Check out the history here. Get tickets to the next show here.

Willis Tower - used to be "Sears Tower":

We haven't been since it turned into the Willis Tower so we have to try it again with the new glass step out in the skydeck! Get tickets here.

Enjoy your time in the Windy City!
