Flying internationally with kids
Flying internationally with young kids can be intimidating, especially if you’re on a long flight. Here are a few tips to help you get through the flight as easily as possible.
1. My first and most crucial tip is lower your expectations. Don’t expect too much from your kids or yourself. Especially the first few flights. Things may not go perfectly and that’s okay.
2. Keep your kiddos busy with things they like to do. We love to get a few “new” toys/activities for flights so it makes it more enjoyable.
3. Go for walks periodically on the flight. Walk the aisles a few times every hour. It helps kids stretch their legs and changes the scenery a bit.
4. Go as often as you can. The more you go, the more your kids will get used to flying and the easier it is.
5. Luggage is key. When our girls were young we used the Jetkids by Stokke but now they are older they each get a backpack and our youngest gets a blanket because it calms her down.
